Tip On Getting Free Land
The US government used to give away land under the Homestead Act until this legislation was repealed in 1976. While there is no longer a federal government program that gives away free land, there are still opportunities to get it. There are a number of rural communities that are giving away free land in an attempt to reverse decades of population decline.

Several communities in Kansas are offering free land and other incentives. Our goal is to help our rural areas sustain and grow economically. We welcome you to take a look at the various communities offering incentives. Click on the City name and you will be redirected to their webpage. Each community’s incentives are unique and offered by local government or development groups.
While the requirements to qualify for the free land vary from community to community, most require that a house or business be built upon the land within a certain period of time after the free land is received and that you become a resident of the town. There may be a number of other requirements, so it's important to read through them all if you're serious.
Obviously this opportunity isn't for everyone, but if you're looking for a simpler life and don't have to live in a particular area to earn a living, you may find this option worth exploring.

I am seeking a lot of approxumately 5 acres for my l972 Kit Sierra 14 x 70 mobile home where small animals are allowed. I have eight adult cats and I need a place where there are no restrictions on the number of small animals I can have, legally. I would like to put a permanent foundation under my home.
